#360 3 Minutes a Day for 30 Days Can Change Your Life (RS) (Page 32), by Laura Lee Perkins, is a two-session class to be held on Friday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., January 18 & February 15.  (Class #376 has been deleted.)

Updated biography for Robert Corbin, RISE presenter of Living Through Forgiving:
Robert Corbin is an inspirational speaker who has conducted seminars throughout the Western United States on the subjects of grieving, forgiveness, dealing with depression, and healing after the loss of a loved one. 

Robert has been an invited speaker for The National Foundation for Suicide Prevention, having successfully completed training as a support group facilitator.  In addition, he is an academy member of The National Speakers Association. 

Before moving to Arizona in 2014, he led a grief support group in Southern California called “A Healing Circle.”  Robert has also been part of an elite group of presenters invited into various high schools within The California Public School System, to address the importance of recognizing and dealing with teen depression and learning how to forgive others. 

Locally, he presents seminars for RISE (Rio Salado College) and the Sun City West Foundation on a regular basis.  Other speaking engagements include numerous fraternal organizations, synagogues, and churches throughout the valley.  Robert frequently conducts his program throughout the Arizona State Prison system as well as The California Prison System and regularly travels in both states working with inmates.  Robert is a graduate of the highly acclaimed Dale Carnegie Public Speaking Curriculum, and a member of Toastmasters International.

Mission Statement :  Founded in 1996, RISE is a grass roots community based educational organization created for and by adults to afford them the opportunity for stimulation, enlightenment and interaction with peers in an environment which encourages life-long learning. 


Goals:  To attract people with varied talents who are willing to share as Presenters and thereby give individuals the opportunity to use their talents in a meaningful way. To provide diverse classes in a variety of curriculum areas reflecting the wishes of the membership. To encourage participation in leadership roles by as many of the members as is practical so that RISE truly represents all of the members. To offer forums for exchange of ideas and knowledge in a comfortable and friendly environment. To expand membership and member participation in RISE. To utilize state of art technology to improve RISE classes and administration of the organization.
